These cabs feature an  Animal design taken from the ancient Mimbre pottery designs.  The design is hand painted onto the porcelain cab using underglazes then fired and glazed and fired again.

The Mimbres were a group of indians that lived in the Southwesten New Mexico area about 1000 AD.  They are well known for their striking black and white designs found mostly on bowls.  The designs on these cabs are taken from artifacts found from this culture.
